Dear All,
What is the best way to access SAP mobile apps from external network outside corporate premises. We have SAP Mobile Platform, NetWeaver Gateway, SAP Afaria and SAP Mocana in landscape. We use Web Application Firewall in DMZ as well.
Please advise.

Some of the users have been complaining about performance issues of the Fiori Apps (Both extended and custom developed). The users access the apps through SAP Fiori client in iPad. When I look into the gateway log the only error message that I see against these user Ids are - "The request URL or the metadata definition is incorrect". The system alias are correctly defined. The apps works fine for some users from laptop as well as from iPad. The roles and authorizations are assigned same for all users. If you have faced something similar, please share the solution and inventions.

We tried to set up Fiori, but stopped and first step- activating services in /n/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE transaction. We successfully added the services, but then when Calling the browser - problem oocurs - the page cannot be displayed! What's causing this?
We already checked the SICF transaction and every node mention in these (below) links is activated. What could be the problem?

I have been trying to setup Fiori environment for my practice purpose.
I have got an EHP7 system with following patch levels.

I installed the below listed components in the specified order assuming each and every app back end/front end component components are independent of each other without following any proper order, tried to install all components in FIORI APPROVE REQUESTS X1 1.0, FIORI ERP APPLICATIONS X1 1.0, FIORI ERP APPLICATIONS X2 1.0 and UI FOR EHP7 FOR SAP ERP 6.0.
Could you plese provide the sequence to be allowed if any.
I followed installing the things that did not give any error initially, later researched and applied Attribute Change package for the SRA that were failing with IW_BEP doesn't exist. Now, I am able to see Launchpad, created a test Catalog and test group and tried to create a tile as per blog Fiori: technical installation and configuration of one app from A - Z. However, I am getting a blank screen with just the title Select a tile template.
Is there something missed in the components loaded or something of the order I imported. Please guide?

I am trying to create the search connectors for the Fiori App Cost Center (F1623) and I am facing the following error during the creation of it via ESH_COCKPIT or STC01.
I tried to delete all connectors and create them again, but the problem persists. Any suggestion about what could be the reason for that or how to solve it?

In my Fiori launchpad when I selected any language other than English everything is not translated in the selected language.
When i selected DE some catlogs and tiles are still appearing in English and in other language selection case all tiles and catlogs are in English only while the application content is maintained in the selected language.

Hi,
I have used <embed > tag to add a PDF preview in a SAPUI5 App.
When i run the app in WebIDE the PDF file appears but when I deployed the same app in Fiori Launchpad, it was showing an error "Failed to Load PDF document" . Attached screenshot for fail case.
What can be reason for it.?
Or is <embed> or <iframe> not supported in Launchpad.
Any help is appreciated.

Information is visualized on cards for multiple types of content in an attractive and efficient way. The user-friendly experience makes viewing data, filtering data and acting upon it simple, faster, and smarter. It’s fully responsive and features collapsible “columns” of cards that can scale all the way from large screens and desktop down to tablet or phone screen sizes.
SAP Fiori overview page (OVP) was successfully introduced to the market during TechEd events that took place lately in Las-Vegas and Barcelona. Now that SAPUI5 1.32, which contains SAP Fiori OVP first release, is available both to on-premise systems and on HANA Cloud Platform (HCP) it is time to provide more details on the release content.
The global filter can be expended/collapsed from the OVP header section by clicking on the global filter icon. By default, when the OVP launches the global filter is collapsed.

Contextual navigation means that when a navigation operation is triggered from a card, the navigation is performed in the context of the items that was clicked on. For example, when clicking a specific line item on the list card, the launched app will open and display the specific item details.
The easiest way to generate an OVP is to use the SAP Web IDE OVP plugin. This plugin lets the developer to generate an OVP, add cards to the OVP, deploy it to ABAP repository/HCP and register it to the FLP as well as enjoy all the benefits of using the SAP Web IDE.
At the time of publishing this blog, the OVP plugin is available on the HCP trial (developer) landscape. I expect it to be available in the productive landscape shortly.

I am learning to create fiori apps with the hana cloud platform. I have created a fiori master detail app and specified my OData model as well as mock data ( I don't have a backend service).
The app is pretty simple, the master contains a set of elements for which the details are shown in the Detail view in two tabs. One tab contains general information and the second contains a table. This second tab's count property must contain the table's number of rows.
What I have tried so far is to get the number of rows (Detail.controller.js):
this.byId("__table0").getItems().length and put it in the tab filter's count property:
this.byId("iconTabFilter2").setCount(this.byId("__table0").getItems().length);This piece of code does the trick... but I don't know where to put it. I literally put it at the end of every function in the controller but when i test, the result is wrong.
Example: I have two elements in the master, the first element's table has 4 rows and the second has 0. Both tabs show 0 as their count. When I used a console log, here's what I get (I put the log at the end of every function in the controller. The number on the left is the number of elements in the table) :
When the app first starts, the first master element is is selected.

We have deployed time entry application , when I access from the FIORI launch pad , I am seeing the below error. When I click on the My Timesheet tile, this is the error i am facing
"Resource not found for the segment 'ConcurrentEmploymentSet'. 005056A509B11EE1B9A8FEC11C21D78E : Resource not found for the segment 'ConcurrentEmploymentSet'.
Roles assignment, catalogs, groups, installation every thing is done as per the SAP documentation. I verified few times , our configurations looking good.

While configuring fiori purchase order application, it shows activation of odata error. i attached the error snaphot. Please provide the solution fro this issue and there is no error in error log.

We are facing an issue in SAP Fiori, in the favourites column of the user all the links are displayed. No matter the star sign is checked or not all the links are displayed and users cannot do any changes, this has happened after some support pack upgrade by basis.

I have designed the custom theme and saved it as default via SAP_FLP theme parameter in /UI2/NWBC_CFG_CUST Tcode. I have deleted User profile in SU01. Cleaned up all the caches, it is working fine when tested internally. However when I made it go live for public via SAP Web dispatcher as a reverse proxy, it is not loading the custom theme properly. On checking in the console, I came to know that XMLHTTPREQUEST to internal server (which is obviously not public) fails due to cross origin resource sharing (CORS) issue. It says no access origin allow parameter is placed in the response header. Any suggestion how to fix this issue as I am completely confused on it as it is a FIORI issue or SAP Web Dispatcher Issue?
